Merle Great Dane -
breeders, kennels
Despite the fact that they are called Danes in English, they did not originate in Denmark. The breed of today originated in Germany. There is also some evidence that similar dogs lived in ancient Rome and Greece; the dogs have always been used as pets and companions. Merle great dane breeders and kennels should follow the breed standard.
